Three smooth, comfortable gaits. Light and soft in the contact, responsive to the aids without being hot or sensitive. 

AA safe, and takes great care of his riders, does best in a training program to keep him tuned up and moving forward. No buck/bolt/rear. Very tolerant to rider errors. 

Versatile- has been used as a vaulting horse, gone on trails, and done obstacle work making him a great working equitation prospect. Willing with new questions and easy to train, giving him potential to go in a variety of directions.

He's a little sports car! This is one of those horses who is very sensitive and needs a tactful, soft, confident, quiet, unflappable rider. And if you are all those things, and you take the time to bond with him, he will do everything for you with just a thought. Novio was the little engine that could--with time and consistency he has become a nice example of a classically trained dressage horse. On the ground he is sweet and curious with excellent manners and gets along with just about every other horse. 

 

Training: Through the high school collection--- piaffer and school trot/doux passage. Currently refining canter work.

Willow was born in captivity to a herd of adopted BLM mustangs here in Healdsburg and grew up as babies should: in a herd, with other babies. She was brought into the barn with her herd mate when their owner passed away. As we have known them and cared for them since they were born, we felt compelled to give them a start and help them find the best possible forever homes. 

 

Training: strong groundwork foundation, easy to handle, and has been started under saddle. Still green, but progressing quickly. Beginning lateral work (shoulder in, haunches in, walk pirouette) and figures (circles, diagonals) at walk and trot. 

 

Tolerant and sweet, needs a petite rider, either a small adult or a confident junior rider in a program to keep her progressing. Would be ideal for a young professional looking for a project.
